Changes to our research

Research Changelog

See what changed in our calculations, datasets and editorial decisions. Each material entry identifies the effect on the published result and links to the affected work.

Dates below identify the recorded revision, not the age of every source behind it. A dataset may be released in October using September observations. Its edition and observation window remain separate in the study and downloadable files.

  1. Publishing & navigation

    Exchange archive and correction records

Restored all 32 exchange records to the HTML archive and separated documentation checks from provider rule changes. Added stable links, exchange/type filters and a concrete correction case.

The RSS feed retains its existing record identifiers and dates. Bitget’s 2 October resumption announcement is separate from the retained 8 October check; reviewing the archive does not create a new incident.

  2. Publishing & navigation

    Learning, calculators and research discovery

Added question-based search and complexity labels for forty guides, input-to-output navigation for nine tools, and four dated Research study summaries with separate archive and data routes.

Underlying articles, calculator models and fixed study files remain unchanged. Study summaries distinguish publication dates from observation windows; documentary source counts are no longer presented as a measure of hub quality.

  3. Publishing & navigation

    Rankings, comparisons and asset directories

Added goal-based ranking navigation, individual comparison summaries and searchable asset cards with ticker aliases. Directory asset labels now use the rebuilt article record.

All 15 core rankings, 25 comparisons and 40 asset guides remain crawlable. Directory review dates do not refresh underlying contract observations; card counts and dates retain their narrower evidence scope.

  4. Dataset edition

Collateral, calculation reference and public catalog

Separated settlement from account mode, documented exact break-even and funding boundaries, and issued catalog schema 2.0 with a fixed CSV/JSON edition.

Account/channel limits and adapter compatibility remain explicit. Field dates and historical Research editions are preserved. Legacy editorial scores are not presented as newly measured subscores.

  5. Publishing & navigation

    Country discovery and evidence standards

Rebuilt the 201-jurisdiction directory with country-code and alias search, regional shortcuts and four evidence categories synchronized with the Country Access Checker. Replaced the geographic methodology and source policy with product-specific examples and one shared source-state definition.

Inferred, conditional and spot-only entries are no longer counted as directly documented resident products in the directory. Content review remains distinct from HTTP retrieval. Existing country dossiers and dated research editions retain their own evidence dates.

  6. Correction

Calculator inputs, trade costs and margin ceilings

Fixed position sizing below $0.01, rejected ambiguous number separators and prevented a zero-price tick from appearing executable for a short. The fee tool distinguishes planned orders from already-filled entries.

Model ceilings now take the smaller of contract leverage, the selected tier and inverse initial margin. Funding charts include the full holding period; account-specific fee eligibility remains separate from published base rates.

  7. Dataset edition

    BTC observations: edition 2026-10-08.2

Added a separate collection of seven BTC margin schedules and three captured order books, with preserved response bytes and an offline reproduction script.

The October comparison sits alongside the corrected September-input cohort. It is a point-in-time collection, not a monthly average, a history of fills or proof of account approval.

  8. Dataset edition

    Access evidence: edition 2026-10-08.7

Reorganized the 201-jurisdiction study around the strength of product evidence and aligned badges with the final classification. Targeted Kraken checks separate US futures, UK professional access and Australian wholesale access.

Inferences and conditional routes are not presented as directly documented resident products. The edition retains inherited evidence dates; it is not a fresh legal review of every jurisdiction or platform record.

  9. Editorial revision

Telegram futures, methodology and affiliate disclosure

Replaced the four-platform Telegram scorecard with product-based Storm and Walt selections; qualified UXUY and removed Tradoor from the active list. Removed commission-related scoring and blanket discount claims. Rebuilt the methodology with an inspectable tier example and an explicit account of legacy editorial scores.

Finder now keeps unknown modeled costs conditional and orders complete cost models first within a result category. Dossier source counters use one deduplicated register. Affiliate disclosure separates publisher compensation from the reader’s account offer.

  10. Correction

Research: fixed statistics, BTC capacity and execution editions

Issued version 2026-10-08.1 with retained inputs, checksummed downloads and calculations detached from changing site data. Applying the inclusive Bybit boundary corrects the preserved $100 million BTC result from 9× to 10×; earlier editions remain available.

Fee channels are compared separately. The execution study identifies 179 fully covered paired scenarios and one partial sell among 180, drawn from one October collection window. Its archive contains normalized collector responses, not complete historical order books; the results are not month-wide averages.

  11. Editorial revision

Learn: forty rebuilt guides and final editorial review

Rebuilt forty futures guides with worked cases, product-specific sources and responsive demonstrations. The follow-up review reduced repeated caveats, clarified directional trading and funding exceptions, and made commercial links explicit.

Source references are grouped by section inside the optional research panel. Navigation, image concepts and the distinction between historical examples and changing product rules were also reviewed.

  12. Editorial revision

Forty asset articles rebuilt on 6–7 October

Completed the individual futures-market articles with contract-specific research, asset-specific decisions, new visual explanations and expanded evidence panels.

A subsequent audit corrected sixteen groups of issues, including stale synchronization, recommendation limits and repeated wording. This full reconstruction is separate from the 4 October maintenance entry.

  13. Correction

Price units, contract identity and margin arithmetic

Corrected GMX token-decimal scaling, distinguished pool capacity from execution, retained token multipliers and contract aliases, and applied maintenance deductions to tier examples.

Market views, Finder, comparisons and tools share the corrected fields. October observations are separate from immutable September editions.

  14. Editorial revision

    Asset decisions and recommendation evidence

Revised asset recommendation evidence and captured two-sided books during the early October maintenance pass. Removed automatic guide-partner rotation and documented the product example for each guide.

TON counts come from the current catalog; contract inventory and separately reviewed documentary routes are distinguished. Execution scores no longer come from adapter presence.

Scope clarified 9 October: this was the earlier maintenance pass. The complete article rebuild followed on 6–7 October, recorded separately below.

  15. Editorial revision

    Product changes and visual evidence

Reconciled Bitget service notices, the Coinbase October transition, Drift/Velocity identity, current Lighter account classes and the Reya catalog. Replaced broken source routes and curated screenshot captions against visible contents.

Historical captures are enlarged separately and are not relabeled as current account or contract proof.

  16. Correction

    Metadata and source-state correction

Added route-specific social metadata, completed public breadcrumb routes and changed unknown source URLs to an unavailable state until audited.

Shared previews now resolve to the page itself, and an untested URL no longer inherits a successful retrieval label.

  17. Publishing & navigation

    Authority and accountability

Published the collective editorial identity, named review responsibilities, Privacy Policy, Terms of Use and a public research changelog.

Readers can identify which review function applies and how to submit a material correction.

  18. Editorial revision

    Source lifecycle

Expanded source handling to distinguish retrieved, restricted, transient, unavailable, superseded and archived records.

A blocked or dead source can no longer appear equivalent to a freshly retrieved official page.

  19. Publishing & navigation

    Technical publishing

Centralized the public origin, removed universal sitemap modification dates and added shared organization, website and breadcrumb data.

Preview and production domains can be separated without hard-coded canonical drift.

  20. Publishing & navigation

    Accessibility baseline

Added a skip link, global focus visibility, reduced-motion behavior and keyboard controls for the mobile menu.

Keyboard and motion-sensitive readers can navigate the shared site shell more predictably.

This log records work on this publication. Linked datasets include versioned files and checksums where available; navigation and editorial entries link to the revised pages. A link to today’s page is not a snapshot of its earlier wording.

Routine spelling changes are omitted. Provider announcements belong in the exchange archive, where checks are distinguished from rule changes. The 4 October asset entry was clarified on 9 October to distinguish maintenance from the later full rebuild; its original record date is retained.
