Best AAVE Futures Exchanges for Trading and Hedging
The cheapest AAVE fill is only part of the decision. A token holding and its short can offset price moves while leaving margin in two separate places.
Short answer
Binance is the first USDT comparison for AAVE orders around 10,000–50,000. Bybit remains worth pricing for an existing account, but MEXC’s API result became cheaper at 250,000 in the October 10 check. For a smaller wallet-funded position, Hyperliquid avoids a separate exchange deposit and settles in USDC.

A slight cost lead for a fresh account
For a fresh USDT position when 0.1-AAVE sizing fits. Its recorded cost lead over Bybit was small, so it should not dominate a fractional hedge decision.

A holding of 0.37 AAVE is not represented equally by every order ticket. Bybit’s 0.01-AAVE step can express that quantity, while Binance’s 0.1 step leaves a remainder. When the objective is an accurate small hedge, that difference can matter more than a sub-dollar cost gap on a much larger comparison.
For a fresh USDT account, Binance supplies the slightly lower recorded regular-fee baseline. Bybit was close at 10,000 per side, and offers finer quantity control. The table retains the exact ranges; the practical conclusion is a close choice, rather than a reason to move an existing balance for cents.
What changes for a larger AAVE position?
At 50,000 each way, Binance’s regular-fee range was 90.04–95.51 USDT and Bybit’s was 93.25–96.43. Both were below the observed OKX range of 109.56–118.23. MEXC’s API-priced result came to 97.03–103.93, with the API rate kept separate from manual trading offers.
Bybit’s AAVEUSDT first risk band also has substantial capacity: up to 75× through 200,000 USDT, followed by 50× through 300,000. The single market-order ceiling is smaller, at 460 AAVE or approximately 79,950 USDT at the lowest captured midpoint. A large position band therefore does not imply that the whole position can be entered in one market order.

Inputs and calculation details
Total = buy and sell price impact from the midpoint + both trading fees. Orders above a known limit are excluded. Missing limits remain unknown; partial books do not establish a full-order cost.
Dated inputs and fee sources ↗ · Raw books ↗For an AAVE trader comparing personal discounts, a 0.005-percentage-point fee difference is one USDT over two 10,000 orders. That is already larger than the observed Binance–Bybit gap in those rounds. A verified account rate can matter more than the modest regular-tier advantage; a discount advertised to someone else cannot be assumed to apply.
How different is AAVEPERP from AAVEUSDT?
Bybit AAVEPERP settles in USDC and starts at 20× through 5,000 USDC. Its next bands allow 19× through 9,000 and 18× through 13,000. AAVEUSDT, in contrast, retains its initial 75× band through 200,000 USDT. This is a difference in usable margin capacity, not simply the name of the stablecoin.
The books were different too. A 10,000-per-side AAVEPERP model cost 49.04–68.08 USDC, compared with 12.68–13.45 USDT for AAVEUSDT. At 25,000 each way the USDC estimate increased to 171.33–202.27. Keeping USDC may be convenient, but that convenience has a measurable cost in this particular product.
AAVEPERP has an order ceiling as well as lower leverage
Its captured market-order maximum was 155 AAVE, worth approximately 26,943 USDC at the lowest observed midpoint. The 50,000-per-side table row is therefore a book model above the single-order ceiling. It should not be read as an order ticket that the contract will accept in one submission.
At 5,000 of position value, the theoretical initial margin is 250 on AAVEPERP versus about 66.67 on AAVEUSDT at their respective maxima. Someone deliberately allocating 1,000 to that same exposure can choose lower leverage on either permitted product. More margin does not force a larger trade.
For AAVE specifically, this gives two separate reasons to distinguish the contracts: the USDC product needs more capital at its maximum bands, and it produced materially higher modeled execution costs. There is little support for treating it as the default substitute whenever the account starts with USDC.
Which AAVE market fits an existing USDC balance?
Hyperliquid’s native AAVE market is a verified wallet-based alternative with up to 10× initially and 0.01-AAVE precision. Its 1,000-per-side result was 1.05–1.07 USDC, close to Binance AAVEUSDT’s 1.06–1.14 USDT. At 10,000 each way, Hyperliquid cost 14.25–14.89, above the two leading centralized USDT products but far below Bybit AAVEPERP.
At 25,000, Hyperliquid’s 42.88–45.22 range remains a meaningful USDC comparison. At 50,000, at least one returned book lacked enough depth for the complete model, so no full-size range is published. Existing capital and the desired order size both matter to this choice.
Binance AAVEUSDC is another option, with a different carry profile
Binance AAVEUSDC’s execution estimate was 18.66–19.89 at 10,000 per side. Its recent funding, however, was negative: an unchanged 10,000-USDC long received approximately 2.60 over October 4–6 UTC. The equivalent Binance AAVEUSDT long paid about 2.07.
Combining those historical amounts with the later execution observations gives a sensitivity total of 16.07–17.29 for AAVEUSDC versus 14.09–15.06 for AAVEUSDT. The USDC funding benefit narrowed the difference without eliminating it in that scenario. For a short, the negative USDC funding is an expense instead.
This is not a reason to convert every existing USDC balance. It says what the measured trade-offs were: Hyperliquid offered competitive execution for smaller USDC orders; Binance offered a different recent holding-cost profile; Bybit AAVEPERP carried the much larger execution estimate. The future funding path remains unknown.
Can you hedge AAVE in a wallet without depositing the tokens?
A stablecoin-settled short can offset the price movement of AAVE held elsewhere without transferring those AAVE tokens into the futures account. The contract quantity must correspond to the holding being covered, and the futures account needs its own eligible margin. The wallet’s AAVE balance does not automatically become collateral on the venue.
Consider 100 AAVE retained in a wallet at an illustrative price of 200 USDT, alongside a short of 100 AAVE. A move to 240 increases the wallet holding’s value by 4,000 and loses 4,000 on the linear short before costs. A move to 160 does the reverse. The intended price offset is straightforward; keeping both legs funded is the harder part.

A balanced combined position can still have a stressed futures account
Suppose the short begins with 5,000 USDT of margin. At the illustrative price of 240, its equity is approximately 1,000 before funding and fees, even though the wallet’s tokens have gained 4,000 in value. That gain does not appear as cash in the futures account unless a separate action realizes and transfers it.
At 160, the futures account rises to roughly 9,000 while the wallet holding falls to 16,000. In both simplified cases the combined value is about 25,000. But the first case leaves much less immediately available margin behind the short. An economic offset across accounts is not an automatic transfer between them.
| AAVE price | Wallet value | Futures equity | Combined |
|---|---|---|---|
| 200 | 20,000 | 5,000 | 25,000 |
| 240 | 24,000 | 1,000 | 25,000 |
| 160 | 16,000 | 9,000 | 25,000 |
The example does not calculate a liquidation threshold. Maintenance margin, mark prices, other positions and fees determine whether the short can remain open. Its point is that a hedge can be sound on a combined balance sheet while one of its separate accounts needs attention.
Borrowing the hedge margin can add another weak point
If the margin was borrowed against AAVE or another volatile asset, the loan and the futures account follow separate collateral rules. A short’s gain does not automatically improve a lending protocol’s collateral ratio. It has to become usable in the lending position through an actual permitted transfer or repayment.
Aave’s health-factor guidance explains that a borrow position becomes eligible for liquidation below one. This article does not assign a current AAVE collateral threshold or assume that every Aave deployment accepts AAVE on the same terms. The relevant lesson is the separation of the two balances, not a generic suggestion to borrow money to fund a hedge.
What if the AAVE tokens are supplied, staked or otherwise committed?
Start with the exposure actually retained. A plain wallet balance of 100 AAVE is different from a claim whose withdrawal amount or timing can change. A futures hedge tracks AAVE’s price; it does not make an unavailable balance withdrawable or compensate automatically for a loss of tokens.
If the position is supplied through the Aave protocol, withdrawal documentation ties withdrawals to available pool liquidity and the health of any related borrow position. A futures gain at a different venue does not bypass those conditions. This matters when the proposed exit is “withdraw the tokens and sell them after closing the short.”
Do not hedge a protocol label instead of an AAVE token holding
A USDC deposit into the Aave lending protocol remains a USDC-related exposure; it is not a holding of the AAVE token merely because the application is called Aave. Shorting AAVE against that USDC deposit introduces token-price exposure that did not previously exist. The asset in the supplied balance, rather than the protocol’s brand name, determines what is being hedged.
AAVE funding: which amounts belong in a hedge budget?
For October 4–6 UTC, the constant-10,000 notional funding totals were approximately 4.34 on Bybit AAVEUSDT, 7.45 on AAVEPERP, 4.98 on Hyperliquid, 2.07 on Binance AAVEUSDT and 2.12 on OKX. These totals were positive, meaning shorts received them and longs paid them. Binance AAVEUSDC was the negative exception already discussed above.
For a 20,000 short held at unchanged notional throughout the same rates, the amounts would double. In a real fixed-token hedge, notional changes with the AAVE price at each event. A single multiplication based on the initial price is a comparison model, not a substitute for the actual funding ledger.
Ending the holding and ending the hedge must stay coordinated
If half the held AAVE is sold or withdrawn into a different exposure, leaving the full short unchanged creates a net bearish position. If the short is closed first while all tokens remain held, the wallet returns to full unhedged AAVE price exposure. The correct quantity follows what is still owned.
A staged exit should therefore track both completed fills, especially where the holding’s withdrawal is not instantaneous. A plan to sell tokens later does not mean they have already been sold; a submitted reduce order does not mean the short has already filled. The dates and actual quantities matter more than whether both actions were intended.
AAVE precision: small balances and residual exposure
Binance’s captured AAVE linear contracts use 0.1-AAVE quantity increments and a minimum notional of five settlement units. Bybit permits 0.01 AAVE, also with a five-unit minimum. At an illustrative price of 200, one Binance increment is worth twenty; Bybit needs 0.03 AAVE, worth six, to exceed the five-unit minimum.
This distinction matters for hedging a small fractional holding. A wallet with 0.37 AAVE cannot be matched exactly using Binance’s 0.1 step: 0.3 leaves 0.07 unhedged, while 0.4 creates a 0.03 overhedge. Bybit’s 0.01 step can represent 0.37, subject to the order’s other requirements.
Contract units can be smaller than the ticker suggests
MEXC represents AAVE with 0.01 AAVE per contract. Its AAVE_USDC maximum volume of 3,900 contracts therefore means 39 AAVE, approximately 6,777 USDC at the captured price. Treating the volume field as 3,900 whole AAVE would overstate that order capacity one hundred times.
OKX AAVE-USDT-SWAP uses 0.1 AAVE per full contract and a 0.1-contract step, equivalent to 0.01 AAVE. Its first reported cross-margin band covers 4,500 full contracts, or 450 AAVE, at up to 50×. Contract count, coin quantity and quote value all need their own units.
The practical result is that precise small-position matching can favor a finer-step venue even when its market-order estimate is slightly higher. A close execution-cost race should not conceal an order-size constraint that prevents the intended exposure.
Additional AAVE futures exchanges
Aster and Gate offer additional AAVE execution comparisons beyond the shortlist.
Aster’s lower nominal taker reference did not overcome its larger measured impact here: its 50,000-per-side AAVE estimate was 156.38–180.83. Gate’s public contract-fee model gave 166.80–177.79. Those results support keeping the shortlist focused rather than recommending every active instrument equally.
For account availability, the country directory covers regional access separately. A wallet connection or a public futures endpoint does not itself establish eligibility. The contract comparison is most useful after the reader has a permitted route to the specific AAVE product.
19 contract records across 15 venues. Each instrument has its own record; a listing does not establish country eligibility. Quantity, increment and minimum value requirements apply together; an omitted value is not a zero minimum.

AAVE futures questions
Can AAVEPERP use 75× like AAVEUSDT?
The captured AAVEPERP band starts at 20× through 5,000 USDC and falls as size increases. Bybit AAVEUSDT instead starts at 75× through 200,000 USDT. Both leverage and order capacity need to be checked for the exact product.
Can I hedge AAVE in my wallet while keeping it there?
Yes, a matching linear short can offset its price movement without transferring the tokens. The futures account needs separate eligible margin. A wallet gain cannot automatically rescue an underfunded short, and costs or price differences can leave a residual result.
Does shorting AAVE protect a USDC deposit in the Aave protocol?
A USDC deposit is not an AAVE token holding. An AAVE short introduces exposure to AAVE’s price rather than directly offsetting that stablecoin position. Identify the actual supplied asset before deciding what a derivative would hedge.
Which venue can match a holding of 0.37 AAVE?
Bybit AAVEUSDT has a captured 0.01-AAVE step, which can represent 0.37 if the order meets its minimum value. Binance’s 0.1 step can represent 0.3 or 0.4 instead. That leaves a small underhedge or overhedge.
Does a futures profit increase my Aave health factor automatically?
No. The external futures account is separate from the lending position. Improving the lending position may require an actual permitted repayment or collateral transfer; an unrealized gain somewhere else does not perform that action.
Why is MEXC AAVE_USDC’s 3,900 maximum not 3,900 AAVE?
The captured contract represents 0.01 AAVE. Multiplying the 3,900-contract limit by that unit gives 39 AAVE. Its approximate quote value changes with price, so larger depth estimates above that limit are not executable single-order quotes.
Can negative AAVEUSDC funding make Binance USDC cheaper for a long?
It can reduce holding cost, but the observed three-day benefit did not fully offset its larger execution estimate at 10,000 per side. The scenario was about 16.07–17.29 for USDC versus 14.09–15.06 for USDT, before conversion and using noncontemporaneous funding and books.
Sources and research
Comparisons use the public records linked below, not funded account tests. How we research · Report a correction.
Three public-book rounds were initiated between 03:32:30 and 03:34:59 UTC on October 7, 2026: 96 responses covering 32 contracts. Requests within each round were not simultaneous. These nearby observations do not establish typical daily execution or performance during stress.
Buy and sell books were independently swept at equal notionals of 1,000, 10,000, 25,000 and 50,000. Contract quantities were converted into coin quantities for Gate, OKX and MEXC. Full-size ranges require complete returned depth on both sides in all three observations; incomplete responses are not evidence that no additional liquidity exists.
Costs add midpoint price impact and cited taker fees on both sides, before quantity rounding, funding, conversions or transfers. Stablecoins are compared at par. Binance USDC uses its displayed promotional fee; USDT uses the regular fee. MEXC uses API pricing, not a presumed manual-account offer. This model is not realized trading profit or loss.
Funding adds actual October 4–6 UTC events at a constant reference notional. Combining that history with October 7 execution costs is a sensitivity scenario, not an observed multi-day trade. Actual fixed-token positions change notional with price.
Instrument units and public risk bands were collected alongside the books. Checked Bybit and MEXC order caps use observed midpoint values; a depth model above a cap is not a single executable order. Other directory entries retain their own evidence dates.
No trading, account opening, authenticated checks, deposits or withdrawals were performed. Regional eligibility, personal fees and the account order ticket remain separate from the public contract evidence. Hypothetical examples are labeled; leverage maxima are not liquidation calculations.
